Looks like a lot of nice products to try. This box looks like my daughter would love it.
The IPSY Glam Bag is a monthly makeup bag that includes 5 deluxe-sized beauty samples, customized based on your beauty quiz answers. Based on your preferences, you’ll receive a mix of makeup products, haircare products, skincare products, and nail products. Since its inception back in 2012, IPSY has been offering premium glam bags aka subscription boxes for women. Each subscription box contains various beauty products that provide you with customized beauty and skincare products for everyday use.
IPSY then fills the rest of your bag with products based on your beauty quiz and past product reviews and ships out your bag. So we are going to jump into the products. We’ll start with the items IPSY chose for me.
I am shocked to see so many bad reviews! I saw a few that mentioned billing issues but I pay annually so I’ve never had any issue with that. I love almost everything I receive and it helps me explore new beauty products—not just makeup. Of all the bags I’ve gotten over the years, I could count on one hand the number of products I’ve been dissatisfied with. Pretty good odds so it’s totally worth it to me!
I quite like the shade Game Day, which is foiled; Stack It Up is pretty and so are Block Party and Game Night. However, I don’t wear navy eyeshadow, so Game Over is a bit much; and orange eyeshadow makes me look ill. I’ll use a fair number of the shades so it’s not a total waste, but I am disappointed to receive essentially a generic palette. The Glam Bag Plus is, like Boxy Charm, 5 full-size products every single month. The regular Glam Bag promises a mix of sample size, deluxe sample size, and full-size products.
And seeing those product makes me more interested. As mentioned above, this service is $25 a month and with that, you receive five full sized products. One thing that I was concerned about and pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t the case was receiving duplicate products. I actually squealed when I saw this Ofra Lip Gloss.
As I really do enjoy IPSY I’m willing to shake off one bad month. The products are all ones I am looking forward to trying out, so it isn’t a bad month, it was just customer service that got under my skin. Despite all of my grousing, it was a decent, if not spectacular month. The next two items are items that I chose. The choose selection was pretty poor this month, but I was actually pleased to see these two items. The fist is the Murad Skin Smoothing Polish.
The thrill of waiting for our monthly package will continue to be the highlight of the months to come. We can’t wait to see what products will be in our November glam bag. The first item out of my bag I really can not complain about. The Dermelect Self Esteem Beauty Sleep serum is always going to be welcome at my house. I know it can be used all over my face, but quite frankly when I get this serum, I mostly use it on my neck. It has made it into my skin care line up many times in the past and will continue circling through the line up.
